I was generously given the opportunity to interview my great friend Lucas Taylor of This is More Than a Place and Soleta. I was rather thrilled to do this because several people had pointed me in his direction for an interview. He's a hot commodity in the experimental scene (considering it's rather small. Aug '26: MUTT's 2026 Recommended Releases of the Month + Introduction

I feel it necessary to start this blog off with an introduction. So, what is Music Under Terrible Terms? MUTT is an (independent) music and art specific blog, based in Wichita, KS. MUTT is to focus mainly on the more miscellaneous & outsider aspects of music rather than be focused on news, events, etc, as many other (great) blogs are based upon. born due to the death of BrooklynVegan, I was inspired to create a music blog that bares no similarity to the now gutted press. Somewhat of a "million Charlie Kirks" philosophy. I want to see this blog as a bit of an oddity shop but also as a general appreciation for music and on-going interesting scenes and movements. Expect interviews with musicians, media lists, semi-satire, and art analysis. Where'd the name come from?  I needed something to fit into the acronym MUTT because it sounded cool, simple as. Interview with Will of Pyrogenetic Waste and Melancholy Dreams

 When first starting this blog, I asked on Instagram to be contacted by experimental artists in the Wichita scene. A big ask for an account with zero posts or cred or whatnot, but I have a great appreciation for every artist who dares to be extreme or experimental in their work. This is the first interview of this series. I was graciously contacted by Will of Melancholy Dreams, Mechanical Defleshing, Pyrogenetic Waste, and Home Invasion. Q: Who are you and what's your deal? A: My name's Will, and I have a big passion for everything extreme. I LOVE making music. I'm in a few projects: Melancholy Dreams (beatdown hardcore) Mechanical Defleshing (brutal death metal) Pyrogenetic Waste (hyperblasting goregrind) and Home Invasion (power electronics).
