I can’t play an instrument, speak any other language but English, or really do any sport. One thing I can do is find obscure albums. I want to share this knowledge with the world. It’s been one of my favorite hobbies for probably several years now. There are many ways to find music. This isn’t really about finding lost albums; if I can’t find it through YouTube or file sharing, I just give up. There are several methods! So I will go over a few. Discogs: I don’t personally use Discogs to find music, more so just to confirm it’s existence and look at packaging I find interesting. The website, to my knowledge, is mostly for buying and selling. Although, It’s not an imperfect method. “Find Music” For this, you want to go to the Explore Discography button then click Explore All. There, you can look through styles and genres as well as select multiple to find something that fits a niche of yours.         Local Wichita slightly off-kilter rock GOATs Sentences released their self-titled EP Sentences in April of this year. I write about this now, because as of today (or yesterday, depending on when I get this out,) they've announced a new limited edition CD of the EP with a new single, Fixer .     The CD will be available at the Wichita Forever Fest Hardcore stage at The Furnace, including a lyric insert.    The emotional hardcore, mathcore, post-hardcore-y EP is aggressive and resentful. I've enjoyed every single time I have seen this band, and I truly believe they are one of the best bands in the scene right now. Terminal and Window both feel somewhat angular. You can truly see the chaotic metalcore inspiration in these tracks. Curiosity is a bit more hardcore punk, but has become one of my favorites to see performed. Swaggerboyz - Perdiendo rasgos adolescentes (2026) If you've been in my car you've heard this one. Psychedelic Argentinian plugg that spent possibly a day or two at number one on the RYM 2026 charts. It deserves to go back up there. Buscando is probably going to remain my favorite music video of the year. I hate to be the guy that's like "well this isn't usually my thiiing..." but it's true! This is the first plugg album I've listened to but I'm so hooked on this album. It's transcendental. I don't do psychedelics so I can make the comparison of this sound to Buspirone side effects. A big ask for an account with zero posts or cred or whatnot, but I have a great appreciation for every artist who dares to be extreme or experimental in their work. August, for me, is a worrisome month due to the fact that I'm starting college later in the month. It's a month full of conflicting energy. Anxiety due to the "high" points in life. Mosquitoes and heat exhaustion, accompanied by the best nights of your life with the people you love. August has always been a low month for me, but its associations have changed severely. It used to mean saying goodbye to staying in all day doing nothing but chudding about to go back to school. August is the month of impermanent goodbyes. It's the anti-January, a cold, never-ending month with little change, minus the New Year's ball dropping and announcing its inception.
